What is the redemption process?

Redeem your guaranteed buyback value of the purchase price (excl. VAT) anytime between September 2026 to January 2027, per the buyback schedule below.

Grade A

Carrier and iCloud: Works with a local SIM (if not: reject) and has no account locks. All locks including FMI (Find My iPhone), screen lock, passcode lock and Face ID must be turned off.
Screen: 0-3 scratches, no pixelation, no burnt screen, no cracks; touch screen and True Tone working.
Body: 0-3 scratches, no dents, no cracks or paint wear.
Front + back camera: Working, without any discrepancies.
Face ID / Touch ID: Working.
Battery: Battery health 90% or above.
Speakers: Working.
Microphone: Working.
Buttons: Working.
Parts: No replaced-parts message (neither non-genuine nor genuine parts).
Package: Original box matching the IMEI is required.

Grade B

Carrier and iCloud: Works with a local SIM (if not: reject) and has no account locks. All locks including FMI (Find My iPhone), screen lock, passcode lock and Face ID must be turned off.
Screen: Minor scratches from regular usage allowed, no pixelation, no burnt screen, no cracks; touch screen and True Tone working.
Body: Minor scratches from regular usage allowed, no dents or cracks or paint wear.

Face ID / Touch ID: Working.
Battery: Minimum 85%.
Speakers: Working.
Microphone: Working.
Buttons: Working.

Grade C

Front + back camera: Working, without any discrepancies.
Face ID / Touch ID: Working.
Battery: Minimum 80%.
Speakers: Working.
Microphone: Working.
Buttons: Working.
Parts: No replaced-parts message (neither non-genuine nor genuine parts).

Note: for the 2nd and 3rd year, the 90% battery requirement for Grade A is relaxed to 85% and completely excluded for Grade B.

Additional Terms & Conditions

Device condition

The device must be in the condition specified in the grade definitions above. Any damage beyond the stated limits may affect the residual value.

Redemption process

Redemption is subject to a thorough inspection of the device to verify its condition.

IMEI verification

The iPhone 17 IMEI on the device must match the one on the invoice.

Transferability

The guaranteed buyback programme is non-transferable.

Data

Before handing the device over to Gait, delete all your data and de-activate your iCloud account. Contact the Gait call centre or visit any of our showrooms for support and assistance.

Proof of purchase

You will need to provide the original purchase invoice at the time of redemption.

Refund

You will receive the value as a credit voucher. Cash refunds are not available.

Replaced device

You must provide proof of replacement if the device was replaced under warranty by Apple. The proof must clearly state the old and new device IMEI.
