General Terms:

Service Procedure:

a.     In the event of a warranty claim, the customer must contact Gait's Apple Authorized Service Center to initiate the repair process.

b.     The customer may be required to provide proof of purchase or any other relevant documentation to validate the warranty claim.

 

Repair or Replacement:

a.     Gait reserves the right to repair or replace the defective product or its parts at its discretion.

b.     If the product or part is no longer available, Gait may provide a similar or equivalent product as a replacement.

c.     Customer is entitiled to 1 incident cover per year ( in case the serial not changed and only the damaged part replaced or repaird).

 

International Coverage:

a.     The extended warranty or accidental damage warranty is valid only within the country of purchase and may not be applicable internationally.

b.     If the product requires service outside the country of purchase, the customer may be responsible for additional shipping, handling, and customs charges.

 

Warranty Activation:

a.     The extended warranty will be automatically activated after 1 year from the purchase date, provided all other terms and conditions are met.

b.     The accidental damage warranty will be automatically activated from the purchase date, provided all other terms and conditions are met.

c.     Gait reserves the right to verify the eligibility of the product and the warranty subscription at any time.

 

Cancellation and Refunds:

a.     The extended and accidental damage warranty subscription cannot be cancelled or refunded once activated, except as required by applicable consumer protection laws, provided that no claims have been raised with the extended warranty or accidental damage.

GaitCare Lite

1.     Terms & Conditions

 

1.1  All Gait Customers purchasing any of GaitCare Lite Subject Product(s) are eligible to apply for GaitCare Lite service provided and covered by Gait.

1.2  GaitCare Lite is covered exclusively by Gait Apple Authorized Service Provider (Gait AASP). This warranty is not a subject to be claimed at Apple or any other service provider.

1.3  The purchase of GaitCare Lite must be applied only at the time of purchase of related Subject Product(s) and on the same purchase invoice.

1.4  GaitCare Lite accidental damage can be claimed at any time after the purchase has been made during the validity period.

1.5  The damaged screen will be replaced based on the availability of the screen from Apple.

1.6  GaitCare Lite covers the repair of Subject Product(s), using new Apple genuine parts. The device(s) will be tested and passed Apple functional requirements, before handing over to the Customers

1.7  GaitCare Lite will be processed as per Apple Guideline under out of warranty service for exchange part. (the damaged part will be returned back to Apple as per the Apple policy.)

1.8  When providing the warranty service, the contents of the storage media of the device(s) will be deleted and reformatted. Gait is not responsible for any loss of software programs, data or other information contained on the storage media, or any other part of the apple product serviced.

1.9  GaitCare Lite accidental insurance can be claimed once during the policy validity period.

1.10        This warranty does not apply to:

1.10.1    any non-Apple branded hardware.

1.10.2    any software sold with/without Apple hardware.

1.10.3    recovery and reinstallation of other software programs, data, and information.

1.10.4    consumable parts, such as batteries or protective coatings, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship.

1.10.5    damage caused by operating the Apple Product outside Apple’s published guidelines.

1.10.6    damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a representative of Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider (“AASP”)

1.10.7    Apple Product that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission of Apple

1.10.8    damage caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the Apple Product if any serial number has been removed or defaced from the Apple Product

1.10.9    GaitCare Lite doesn’t cover any accessories attached with the subject products ( e.g. stickers, screen protectors, covers…..etc. )

1.10.10  GaitCare Lite covers the crack screen hardware coverage only, for subject product.

1.10.11  Prior repair for the subject product will be inspected by The AASP team for any other damage that may Hold the screen repair or effect the functionality of the screen,

1.10.12  Any additional repair not related to the screen repair; customer will bear the cost.

1.10.13  If the subject product is not in repairable condition that does not allow AASP to proceed with the screen repair the GaitCare Lite will not be applicable.

GaitCare

2.     Terms & Conditions

 

2.1  All Gait Customers purchasing any of GaitCare Subject Product(s) are eligible to apply for GaitCare service provided and covered by Gait

2.2  GaitCare is covered exclusively by Gait Apple Authorized Service Provider (Gait AASP). This warranty is not a subject to be claimed at Apple or any other service provider.

2.3  The purchase of GaitCare must be applied only at the time of purchase of related Subject Product(s) and on the same purchase invoice.

2.4  GaitCare will be activated automatically, after 1 year from the purchase date.

2.6  GaitCare covers the repair of Subject Product(s), using new Apple genuine parts. The device(s) will be tested and passed Apple functional requirements, before handing over to the Customers

2.7  When providing the warranty service, the contents of the storage media of the device(s) will be deleted and reformatted. Gait is not responsible for any loss of software programs, data or other information contained on the storage media, or any other part of the apple product serviced

2.8  This warranty does not apply to:

2.8.1    any non-Apple branded hardware.

2.8.2   any software sold with/without Apple hardware.

2.8.3   recovery and reinstallation of other software programs, data and information.

2.8.4   consumable parts, such as batteries or protective coatings, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship.

2.8.5   cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship

2.8.6   damage caused by use with a third-party component or product that does not meet the Apple Product’s specifications

2.8.7   damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, fire, liquid contact, earthquake or other external cause

2.8.8   damage caused by operating the Apple Product outside Apple’s published guidelines

2.8.9   damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a representative of Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider (“AASP”)

2.8.10 Apple Product that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission of Apple

2.8.11 damage caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the Apple Product if any serial number has been removed or defaced from the Apple Product

3.  Applying.

3.1 The GaitCare offers to extend the warranty of Subject Product(s) up to 3 years:

Þ          Apple One-Year Limited Warranty – provided by Apple - free of charge service

Þ          Additional One or Two-Years Limited Warranty – provided and covered by Gait only - charged service.

3.2 GaitCare service can’t be sold separately, must be transacted in the same invoice of Subject Product(s)

 

4.  Claim

 

4.1  GaitCare will be activated automatically, only after Apple One-Year Limited Warranty is expired

4.2  When claiming GaitCare, Customer must provide to Gait Service center with at least one of the following information:

Þ          Mobile number, that was used when invoicing GaitCare

Þ          Initial invoice number

Þ          Serial number of purchased product(s)

4.3  Gait AASP will create a Job Card.

4.4  Gait AASP will run regular diagnostic check-up to confirm the escalated issue

4.5  After confirming the issue, Gait AASP will follow the Apple repair guidelines, based on GaitCare T&C

4.6  AASP team to follow up with the Customer on further updates related to the repair.

4.7  Warranty repair will be carried out by Gait authorized service centres.

4.8  Repairs/claims during the factory warranty period will be subject to the terms and conditions specified in the manufacturer's warranty document.

 

5.  Product and warranty details

a. The warranty extension is applicable only for the specific type of product mentioned in this invoice.

b. Extended warranty applies only to the product details specified in this invoice.

c. The insured parts coverage under the extended warranty will be as per the terms and conditions mentioned in the extended warranty document.

 

6.  Terms of warranty subscription

a. The warranty is mandatory and applicable to all eligible products purchased from Gait.

b. The extended warranty is optional and can be purchase at the time of device purchase only.

 

7.  Underlying manufacture warranty period.

The extended warranty will be applicable after 1 year from the purchase date.

GaitCare+

8.9.5       damage caused by operating the Apple Product outside Apple’s published guidelines.

8.9.6       damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a representative of Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider (“AASP”)

8.9.7       Apple Product that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission of Apple

8.9.8       damage caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the Apple Product if any serial number has been removed or defaced from the Apple Product

9.  Applying (Gait Care+)

 

9.1  The GaitCare+ offers to extend the warranty and accidental damage insurance of Subject Product(s) up to 3 years:

Þ          Apple One-Year Limited Warranty – provided by Apple - free of charge service

Þ          Additional One or Two-Years Limited Warranty with accidental damage insurance – provided and covered by Gait only - charged service.

 

GaitCare+ service can’t be sold separately, must be transacted in the same invoice of Subject Product(s).

 

10.                Claim (Gait Care +)

 

10.1 GaitCare+ Accidental Damage can be claimed at any time after the purchase has been made during the validity period; Electronic Breakdowns can be claimed only after 1 year from the purchase date

10.2When claiming GaitCare+, Customer must provide to Gait Service center with at least one of the following information:

Þ          Mobile number, that was used when invoicing GaitCare+

Þ          Initial invoice number

Þ          Serial number of purchased product(s)

10.3Gait Service Center will create a Job Card.

10.4Gait Service Center will run regular diagnostic check-up to confirm the escalated issue

10.5After confirming the issue, Gait Service center will follow the Apple repair guidelines, based on GaitCare +T&C

10.6GaitCare+ repair will be carried out by Gait Authorized Service Centres.

10.7Repairs/claims during the factory warranty period will be subject to the terms and conditions specified in the manufacturer's warranty document.

10.8 Validity of the GaitCare+ policy in case of the device replacement:

10.9 If the device is repaired or only the spare part of the device is replaced, then the GaitCare+ policy remains on the device.

10.10      If the repair requires change of device’s serial number (or IMEI) , then the GaitCare+ policy stops in that moment.

 

11.  Exclusions (Gait Care+)

 

A.    Any incident occurring outside the Policy Period.

B.     Damage as a result of a covered item being used by someone else other than you or a member of your family.

C.     Any claim where you are unable to provide proof of purchase of a covered item.

D.    Any claim where the serial number for a covered item or the IMEI number for a Mobile Phone has been removed or tampered with in any way.

E.     Damage caused by any form of portable external storage media including but not limited to memory cards, USB memory sticks or other digital recording equipment.

F.     Wear and tear, rusting or other deterioration due to normal use or exposure, or where there has been a failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the covered item.

G.    Any software or data installed on the covered item, such as telephone numbers, ringtones, music, pictures, applications or videos, damage caused as a result of a virus damage caused by the installation of software or applications or any costs incurred during reinstallation.

H.    Any costs suffered by you or a member of your family as a result of not being able to use a covered item or any costs other than the repair or replacement cost of a covered item.

I.      Any claim arising from the confiscation, requisition or destruction of a covered item by any government, public or legal authority.

J.      Any labour or other charges incurred where a fault cannot be found with a covered item.

K.     Any costs or damage caused to a covered item by war, terrorism, invasion, revolution or any similar event.

L.     damage to any accessories or other devices which are not defined as an electronics product.

M.   Software malfunctions or other issues related to or caused due unauthorized software enhancements is not covered.

N.    Damage caused due to rooting, jailbreaking or installing Custom ROMs or other software that may affect a devices hardware.

O.    Any accessories that may be included or bundled with the product. These include but are not limited to batteries, headphones, chargers, charger cables, cases, covers and any other accessories.

P.     Unauthorized repair or modification undertaken by any third-party service provider.

 

12.                Covers and limits.

1)     The Policy covers Items owned and used by you and members of your immediate family.

2)     Mechanical or Electrical Breakdown – What is Covered

a)     If a covered item breaks down during the Policy Period, we will reimburse the cost of repairing it. If the covered Item proves impossible or uneconomic to repair, we will reimburse the cost of replacing it.

3)     Mechanical or Electrical Breakdown – What is Not Covered

a)     Mechanical or electrical breakdown covered by manufacturer’s recall of the covered Item.

b)     Existing manufacturer’s warranty active on the product.

c)     Wear and tear or gradual deterioration of performance.

4)     Damage (Accidental/Liquid/Cracked screen) - What is Covered

a)     If the covered item suffers damage including liquid damage caused by the covered item being in contact with any liquid through spillages, damp conditions, and natural weather conditions and leaking batteries during the Policy Period, we will reimburse the cost of repair. If it is not possible or economic to repair up to the value mentioned within your Policy, we will reimburse the cost of replacing the covered item.

5)     Damage - What is Not Covered

a)     Damage caused by:

i)      You or a member of your family deliberately damaging or neglecting the Covered Item.

ii)     The covered item being used by someone else other than you or a member of your family;

iii)    Failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions

iv)    Cosmetic damage

v)     Routine servicing, inspection, maintenance, dismantling or cleaning of the covered item

Policy Limits - Applicable to All Policies

The maximum amount reimbursed for repair or reimbursement of a covered item is if the cost of repair falls within the range of the purchase price of the product.

In the case of reimbursement of goods, a depreciation scale will be used against the product which is based on when the claim was been reported.

The depreciation scale is as follows:
0-12 months – 0% (100% of product value is payable)
12
months and 1 day - 24 months – 30% (70% of product value is payable).

24 months and 1 day - 36 months – 50% (50% of product value is payable).
